Reishi mushroom (Ganoderma lucidum),
Description:
Reishi mushroom (Ganoderma lucidum), also known as Ling Zhi in China, grows wild on decaying logs and tree stumps. Reishi grows in six different colors. The red-colored mushroom is most commonly used and grown in East Asia and North America.

Safety:
Avoid if allergic or hypersensitive to any constituents of Ganoderma lucidum or any member of its family. Use cautiously with diabetes, blood disorders (including hemophilia), low blood pressure or ulcers. Avoid if pregnant or breastfeeding.
Possible side effects:
Bone pain, breast tenderness, diarrhea, dizziness, dry mouth, dry throat, gastric bleeding, headaches, increased bleeding time, light-headedness, low blood pressure, nausea, nosebleeds, rash.
Possible interactions:
Adenosine, amphetamines, antibiotics, drugs that increase the risk of bleeding, blood pressure drugs, antiviral drugs, aspirin/aspirin-containing drugs, diabetic drugs (like insulin), drugs that effect the immune system, drugs for cholesterol, protease inhibitors, and other herbs and supplements with similar effects.
